The internet is something that is so easy to take for granted these days, but every once in a while I am reminded of what a truly amazing creation it is.

A few months ago, I received an email from someone in Holland who found my blog post about a beautiful orchid that I had written about 5 five years ago (https://floret.ca/blog/the-flower-that-took-my-breath-away/ ) who believed that that very one had been grown on her farm!

I told her that given the time that I had passed I couldn’t say for certain the name of the farm it had come from, but she was certain that it was from hers and it was a variety that was grown exclusively by her family. We had a lovely interchange and I shared with her how magnificent I thought their orchids were.

It reminded me once again how much heart and care goes into growing the flowers we as designers have the privilege to work with and my clients have the pleasure to enjoy.

Kitty was also kind of enough to share some images that I have permission to share with you of the place where these stunning flowers come from.

Enjoy!
