“It’s All About The Food?”

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

What does food have to do with flowers? Everything!

Especially when in some customs the food is supposed to be the centerpiece. This is particularly true with Chinese wedding receptions where the 8 course meal takes center stage.

Still what’s a table without a centerpiece? And what do you do when you would like to have something even with the food there?

Well, depending on how big the table is and what’s the budget’s like, there are lots of options.

It could be a smaller design that doesn’t take up lot of space on the table. It could be a high or low a water immerse design again to tie colours together or something that’s full and off the table altogether.

Pretty Peaches and Pinks…Oh My!

I love colour!

Above all else, it is singularly the best way to create impact and to create a cohesive theme.

I spend a fair amount of my efforts considering how to combine colours to create a certain effect.

With colours alone, you can create a pretty and sweet feeling, orĀ  arrangement that is sophisticated and lavish.

Early last month, I created these centerpieces for Noula and George’s engagementĀ  and colour scheme of peach and pink and the result was a lovely fresh look for a spring event.
