Always A Match

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Flowers can always make a beautiful cake more beautiful.

This could especially be seen from Elyse and Russell’s wedding whose personal flowers I featured a little while back.

I’ve seen a lot of cakes and I think it was the first time that I saw a snowflake like glitter on the fondant. It gave a lighter shimmer that was ever so pretty.

It also brought into question what would be the most flattering floral compliment to the cake and the choice of orchids turned out to be the perfect choice. Delicate, but striking.

How To Decorate Wedding Cake With Flowers

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

It’s probably not one of the first things on the list of priorities when figuring out where or for whom you’ll need flowers.

In fact, it’s usually one of the decisions that’s almost an afterthought. They have a cake and now what?

Adding flowers to a simple cake (typically tone or tone or accented with a simple ribbon around the base) is one of the simplest and easiest was to tie the cake to the choice of flowers and colours for the wedding.

Depending on the style, they can be placed at the base of each tier or all can be kept simple and a topper can be created for the top.
