Birds of a feather flock together. We’ve all heard the phrase.
I’m so proud to say that I have the pleasure of being in the company of some really cool clients!
Open to new ideas and little twists to make their flowers and honest reflection of their style on their day.
Coming on a referral from her best friend April whose wedding flowers I designed over three years ago, Elyse and Rusell were such a couple.
The selection of personal flowers really said it all. Delicate white feature accents for her bridal bouquet and baby succelents for his boutonnieres.

It’s official that strange, but welcomed warm spell that felt like summer has given way to cool temperatures and the glorious turning of the leaves.
In honour of this seasonally glory, I wanted to share a burnt harvest orange bouquet I create for Sabrina for her lovely fall wedding to Nolan.

Yesterday, I received a really sweet email from my client Rana whose beautiful wedding I will be featuring shortly.
She wrote to compliment me on the work I recently posted on my blog and her note made me realize that I’m long overdue in saying a very heartfelt thank you to all those who read this blog.
About three years ago (already?!), I started this blog in the hopes that my posts might inspire and help to demystify the world of wedding flowers even if only in a small way. It was really for you.
Truth be told, I have benefitted just as much if not more. Not just from those who have seen my work and decide they want to work with me, but now I have a record of all the lovely people I have had the chance to meet along the way and the work I have had the great privilege to do.
I am so grateful. Thank you!

Pink is one of those eternally sweet colours.
Paired with white, it is a romantic combination that is always lovely.
This was the colour combintion for Anne and Mark’s late September wedding.
Her bouquet of pink and white floral wrapped with a lace ribbon provided the bride set the tone.

The ceremony at The Church Of The Good Shepherd in Thornhill carried over the theme to the reception at Yang’s Fine Chinese Cuisine.

I unintentionally did things backwards.
I only realized after that I didn’t feature the bridal bouquet from Nicolle and Kevin’s wedding that I featured last week.
Again, as always, one of a kind.

Inspired, thoughtful, and an attention to detail that’s even rare among brides.
I had so much fun creating the flowers for Nicolle and Kevin’s mid-September wedding.
The ceremony took place outdoors on an absolutely stunning September day with a fabric draped and rose petal scattered aisle to complement the idyllic backdrop.

The theme was vintage which can mean different things to different people and most of the time I have to ask, but Nicolle knew.
Her approach to this theme was as authentic and you can get. Antique aqua blue crown mason jars, hankies each one different to place the jars and the at set of kissing salt and pepper shakers again each one different.
It was decided that there were to two alternating designs for the flowers based on the way the hankies were sorted.
It turned out perfectly!

Different combinations of colour bring to mind different moods and impressions.
Amy and Jonathan’s Black and White At Paramount was pure sophistication.
Simple yet stunning.

We all know the difference that decor can make and yet it’s not any less surprising everytime we seen a transformation.
The styles, colours, accents and lighting create a different look everytime.

Classic Ivory Rose Bouquet With A Twist | Floret.ca
The “backlash” continues against the unwitting rose.
It’s seen as “too ordinary”, “overdone”, “too supermarket”.
But I can tell you from the point of view of having created hundreds and hundreds of bouquets with almost every flower and colour combination, there will always be something timelessly beautiful about a rose.
Of course, having said that it can always be given a little twist. In this case, crystal accents and black wire looping for a modern feel.

While pinks and purples are always timeless and beautiful, peaches while much less common are equally as beautiful.
Such was the theme for Jacylyn and Darko’s wedding. Perfect for a mid-summer wedding.
